Have we ever been provided with how the DRT rating is calculated? I understand what it takes to get in HOF as a runner or as a mare, but I still can't quite figure out the DRT calc.

Ryan
GI wins 270, GII wins 215, GIII wins 233, Open Stakes wins 2033.

I've never see anything concrete, but have figured it out in a previous thread pretty closely.

The Dam rating is earned by adding up what the foals have done on the track. Points are earned based on badges.

Winning
Maiden= 0
Alw= 1
Stakes= 2
G3= 4
G2=8
G1=12

SP=1
GP=2

Purse
$50k is .5
$100k is 1
$250k 1.5?
$500k 2?
$1M maybe 4?
$5M, 10M etc...

Should get you close... maybe some fractional points I don't fully understand.

Thanks Robbie. So, for example, I have a mare named The Mark of Dawn. One winner from two offspring. That winner has a MSW win, ALW win, and G2 win. $250K in earnings. DRT is 13 points. How do I get to 13? Does the mare's racing performance matter at all at this point? Based on your post, I'd be at 9.5 (G2 + $250K).

I wish this was something Mike would share. I have a few mares in the mid-70's and would love to know what I need to do to get over HOF total.

Surely the money points are higher. My LONDON GUILDHALL mare has three offspring. 1 Allowance with no money badge. 1 winner no money badge. And 1 G3 winner 250K badge. Total 10 DRT.

Looks like the 250K badge gives 5 points in DRT. But sounds too much.
G1 winners:
DALHAM HALL (Equinics 2014)
LONDON GUILDHALL (Sand Castle Golden Turf Classic)
J.G. BALLARD (Breeders' Bowl Juvenile Turf 2014)
VATNAJOKULL (The Japanese 2000 Guineas)

Yeah I definitely don’t have the points figured out to a tee... my guess at this point is some fractional points are on the badges.

But I can tell you, if you want more points earn better badges... continue to race off spring to earn a higher money badge... even the crap horses win a hot race alw with etc...

I believe the mare gets some points in the rating if an offspring get the "EOY" badge. Even more if they get the "1" badge.....

Robbie's formula is close, but I think a G1 badge is more like 13 points. Had one mare bump exactly 13 points this year when an offspring won a G1.
afc stables
G1 winners Devil's Slide, Eruption, Orca, Harvester of Eyes, Luzerne, Echo Pass, Perfect Stranger, Seven One Four, Sabbath Point, Diebstahl, Tenderloin,Asterism & Grande Colpo

I updated G1 to 12, figuring that makes a little more sense, and accounting for the other point as a bump in purse badge.

If anyone is paying attention and can help us narrow down the points on the other badges I'll continue to update.

Thanks Tony!
