I think password races may have no effect on mare rating. I had a two year old who was SP-50 who won a residency stakes race this past weekend and it doesn't appear to have had any effect on it's Dam's DR. Maybe this is old hat but something I just happened to notice....

Not password protected. Or a race I sponsored. The mare is at 72 points. So she did go up one point. :-) someday I'll get her to Hof. Be my first I one ever

These calculations are doing my head in....I'm looking at one of my mares who has 1 DRt…...but she has a current 4YO that has an Allowance and 100K badge?

this horse's mum is an identical case in point http://derbyfever.com/onehorse_inline.asp?horse=11800043008

1 DRt…...the 100K badge is less than 1 point. Looks like Mike uses an INT in his calculations, so it always rounds down to the whole integer.

Ok, so I have a mare who has one offspring, Accentuate. This mare's Drt had been 4 since late last year, on the strength of Accentuate's 2nd in a Grade II and a 100K badge.

So Accentuate runs 2nd in a Grade I last weekend, she now has the Graded place badge and a 250K badge. Her mother's Drt is still 4.
On the strength of that, it seems there is a blanket value for any grouped placing, and 250K badge doesn't count toward Drt.....which makes me think, do any, or is it they kick in at 500K or 1M?
